For my first website development project, I led the creation of a comprehensive digital repository for the Iran ICOMOS organization using WordPress, with Crocoblock Suite and Elementor as key tools. The platform was designed to catalog and showcase Iran’s rich heritage assets, including objects, buildings, archaeological sites, and urban textures.
To effectively manage and categorize these diverse collections, I developed an intricate, hierarchical system of categories. This structure allowed for easy sorting, organizing, and retrieving of information, enhancing the platform’s usability. The project was a collaborative effort between myself and the ICOMOS president, with the goal of meeting the needs of specialized group members to present their work and perspectives.
Initially aimed at serving a specific audience, the platform has since evolved with the potential to become a hub for a broader community of heritage enthusiasts, including specialists, heritage owners, and the general public. The site enables editors to create detailed profiles for each asset and allows authors to contribute various types of content, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of cultural heritage.
The first phase of development has been successfully completed, and we are currently exploring future directions to expand and enhance the platform's capabilities.
