This concept design envisions a library and reading space that caters to both youth and the elderly, nestled within a park of aged trees. Instead of focusing on book storage, the design prioritizes creating inviting and diverse reading spaces that resonate with people of all ages.
The project features two distinct buildings: one, a circular tower that gently wraps around a central tree, offering a serene courtyard for quiet reflection and reading; the other, perched on a natural hill, is connected to the first by a lightweight concrete bridge with a vaulted structure. This connection creates a harmonious flow between the spaces, allowing visitors to move effortlessly through the landscape.
The design embraces the existing trees and natural terrain, creating an environment that encourages exploration and a deep connection with nature while providing comfortable and inspiring spaces for reading and relaxation.
